Bag of Gem Rings

Yesterday I opened a box of valuables. Birth and death papers, wedding bands, anniversary earrings, jade buddha pendants, corroded watches, and coral necklaces. At the end of the long box lay a foggy plastic bag of copper gem rings, the kind you buy at the drugstore counter. Amethyst, citrine, aquamarine, rose quartz and sapphire they were not. But holding them in my hand they sparkled like stars that were on their way to burning out. It seemed absurd that my mother stored toy rings alongside her real ones. To her it seemed as if real didn't matter and these were just as special.

If you like rings, check out the famous ring sweater...

Jewelry Without The Jewels

Inside my grandmother's purse #2 I found a paper box of miscellaneous jewelry. They were trinkets of no value, such a diamond studded hair barrette, cufflinks, and faux pearl knot earrings. A few were missing their jewels.

These rings are looking for something to hold onto.

The cross earrings are missing a heart.

If You Like It Then You Shoulda Put A Ring Sweater On It

All the single ladies! Who wants just a ring when you can have a ring sweater? This bejeweled beauty works in tandem with the 100% pure cubic zirconia ring!

Emily visiting from NY looks like wedding material here. She was kind enough to model all sorts of threads, from curvaceous wrap dresses to Limited Express harem pants. More to come!
